Insurance company opens in Lakeside Commons
Evansville has a new kid on the block dealing in health and life insurance, long-term care insurance and investments.
The company, which has located in Lakeside Commons at 3315 N. Green River Road, is known as the Great American Senior Benefits/Dan Beavin & Associates LLC.
The location is near Schnucks, off Lynch Road, on the city’s Northeast Side.
The local company is part of the national Great American Senior Benefits LLC, which is an insurance subsidiary of the Great American Financial Resources, Inc. (GAFRI) with headquarters in Cincinnati.
The insurance company aims to market products that meet the needs of individuals age 55 and older.
Dan Beavin, operator of the Evansville location, has leased 2,340 square feet of space in the shopping commons, which is locally owned by the Spurling family.
Christopher M. Stuard, an investment adviser with The Martin Team of Sperry Van Ness/Martin Commercial Group, arranged for the lease.
Beavin managed Bankers Life & Casualty Insurance in Evansville before opening the local Great American Senior Benefits agency June 15.
The Great American Senior Benefits aims to market a complete portfolio of specialty health and life insurance products underwritten by Central Reserve Life Insurance Co., Continental General Insurance Co., Great American Life Insurance Co., Provident American Life and Health Insurance Co. and United Teacher Associates Insurance Co., according to Web reports.
Its parent company, GAFRI, has grown through its niche market (retirement annuities for schoolteachers) and through expanded product offerings and acquisitions.
GAFRI’s subsidiaries now offer consumers a range of financial resources, including fixed, indexed and variable annuities, plus a variety of life, long-term care and supplemental insurance products.
